SCRIPTWRITING
I’m the scriptwriter and story editor for each series of the BBC podcast F1: Back at Base. It's my job to research and fact-check, to select the audio clips and weave the story around them, giving them context and explanation where necessary. I was also script consultant and story editor for the popular Sport’s Strangest Crimes: Spygate podcast series.
For television, I have written scripts for Channel 4’s Formula 1 coverage, including the 2017 season review narrated by actor Benedict Cumberbatch. As scriptwriter, I also supervised the studio recording.
I also write voiceover scripts for Formula 1’s governing body for video content that appears on F1TV and their digital media platforms. The tributes to Eddie Jordan and Sir Frank Williams represent some of my proudest work.
Writing about a very technical sport like Formula 1 requires both knowledge and an ability to translate complex topics for a general audience. The script conducts the rhythm and flow of the story, and I am experienced in choosing the right words and structure to bring these stories to life. For Sport’s Strangest Crimes, I called on my editorial judgement to manage the script’s legal and sensitivity issues.
