JOURNALISM
My journalism training began with IRN and ITN, working in the heart of the London newsroom. I then joined the BBC as a sports journalist for the BBC Sport website where I reported primarily on Formula 1, tennis, athletics and Paralympic sport. As well as writing news articles, I had my own Formula 1 blog, and wrote columns alongside F1 personalities including David Coulthard, Martin Brundle and Mark Webber.
As a freelance sports journalist, I have written for CNN’s international sport website, Channel 4, where I was digital editor of the channel’s Formula 1 coverage, and reported from Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. Other clients include the International Tennis Federation, Wimbledon, and the French Open.
Along the way, I've interviewed leading sports personalities including Michael Schumacher, Sir Lewis Hamilton, Susie Wolff, Mo Farah and Roger Federer. But my all-time favourite interviews are with those who raced during the early days of Formula 1. I still get goosebumps thinking about the times I spoke to Sir Stirling Moss and Mario Andretti.
My background in sports journalism now provides strong editorial instincts for my work in podcasting, from interviewing today’s sports stars to crafting a narrative structure.
